Thanksgiving fun ...

We rolled over to Bainbridge Island yesterday to spend Thanksgiving with our long lost friends the Sydors. It was fantastic to see them. The crew was the three Cummings, Sarah, Mike, Morgan, Willa and John Sydor - a nice sized group. The food was fantastic and we all had lots of fun. Daniel nursed/slept through dinner. He was most likely tired as he learned how to pull himself up to standing yesterday which was pretty exciting. Following are some shots ...

Sunnier times ...

Life has been too busy for things like blogging so I apologize for a lack of posts. Here's a shot though from sunnier times back in the summer. Daniel was small and it was actually hot. My buddy Greg shot this one when Shan and Daniel came to visit us on set.

Out on the Town ...

Daniel, Chris and Cumming grandparents went out for an afternoon in the big city. We had a little lunch at Cafe Campagne where Daniel mauled his favorite food. Then a little shopping. Alright, its wicked dorky to have matching clothes but I couldn't resist ...

Halloween fun

Angie invited us over for a little Halloween celebration for the wee boys. Daniel dressed up as a ferocious, Patagonian, white bear - very rare. His buddy Henry was a pumpkin in an itchy sweater. We had an outdoor fire, s'mores and pumpkin soup. Very fun and festive.

Pea video.

He likes peas ...

Some new photos ...

This shot is from a few days ago. Shan labeled my personal style some years ago as toddler-chic which is fairly apt. Although Daniel is not a toddler yet he and I are sporting a siilar get up (thankfully I am not wearing striped pants).

This a shot of D and I just haning out last weekend ...

Learning to crawl ...

Man, we have been really remiss in posting. Since the summer ended so abruptly in August things have been really busy. Daniel has lots of stuff cooking. He just turned six months which seems way too soon, he is growing the world's slowest teeth, he has started eating solid foods (sweet potato, rice cereal and squash) and stopped sleeping and is getting closer to crawling everyday. Shan just shot this video tonight of him starting to put things together...

Little Robot

Here's a shot of the little man wearing some funky robot pj's. These looked like they'd be huge on him but suprisingly enough they fit. He is getting big fast.

Whoops!

One of the hazards of Maine boating are all the traps that the lobstermen set out. We somehow ended up running into one which caused a bit of a problem. Still not sure how it happened as no one saw it before it became attached to our engine. Thankfully no damage and we got a tow in ...

Daniel's first motorized boat ride(s)

We have been back for a few days from a fantastic vacation with family in Maine. I am still sorting through loads of video and photos but thought in the meantime I'd post a cople of shots of the little man at sea. He took a ride in a paddleboat with me a couple of weeks ago which went over so-so (it was a paddleboat after all ...) but these were is first trips in a boat powered by gas - much more fun. Check out the sweet life preserver.

Eastern Wash trip

We had a great trip over to Rocktail on Diamond Lake in eastern Washington over the weekend. Doug and Denise are fantastic hosts and their home there is beautiful. Lots of swimming, waterskiing, and hanging out. Audrey came up from Oakland too. Below is a video (sorry if its a little long) and some shots of Doug and Denise skiing on a perfect morning.

Bath and Exersaucer snaps.

Is an exersaucer like a Kleenex, Bic, etc. or is it an actual thing? I don't know and am not sure I actually care but was wondering as we got a hand-me-down version. After wiping off some other child's drool Daniel was ready to take a turn in it. It took him awhile to figure out but then he started to get very into it ... Also, first up are some cute shots from the bath last night ...

Also, there is more pool vid but it has to be edited first.

Tide Pool Vid.

Ready to go tide pooling ...

Since its a balmy 65 degress here today Daniel is a little bundled up to go tide pooling today in West Seattle. Today is supposed to be one of the lowest tides of the year so there should be lots to see. Hopefully we'll have a video of all the fun up later ... He looks excited, doesn't he?
